Product
2016–2026 Mazda MX-5 Miata · ND1 / ND2 / ND3 · Left-Hand Drive · Manual Transmission
Every ND Miata's clutch pedal has some travel before it starts engaging. The FlowState Clutch Stop mounts to a factory stud on the driver's side firewall and gives that pedal a firm, physical stop right at your engagement point, so it's shorter, more consistent, and easier to modulate.
Improved ergonomics - Reduces how far your left leg has to extend to fully press the clutch pedal, which can improve your seating position, in some cases enough to move your seat back a notch. (This is what inspired the product.)
It reuses the factory nut, needs no drilling or permanent modification, and comes off just as easily as it goes on.
Fitment
| Generation | Years | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ND1 | 2016–2018 | Same firewall mounting point |
| ND2 | 2019–2023 | Same firewall mounting point |
| ND3 | 2024–2026 | Same firewall mounting point |
The mounting point is unchanged across all three ND generations, so fitment is identical regardless of model year. Left-hand drive, manual transmission cars only.
10 minutes · Hand tools · Fully reversible
On the driver's side, on the firewall just above and to the left of the clutch pedal, you'll find a threaded stud with a 10mm nut on it.
Remove the nut from the stud.
Mount the clutch stop onto the stud and tab.
Install the nut back onto the stud and tighten.
Good habit any time you adjust something with the clutch pedal: start the engine, let the idle settle, then with the brake held, press the clutch pedal all the way in and shift into 1st gear. It should go in smoothly.
If you ever want to go back to stock, just reverse these steps — nothing about the install is permanent.
